Regex & Python
I just start learning python and I want to write a snipped like this one: if match = re.match(a,x): match.group(1) elif match = re.match(b,x) match.group(1) elif match = re.match(c,x) match.group(1) ..... but Python's conditional statement doesn't support assignments, so i have write it like this: match1 = re.match(a,x) match2 = re.match(b,x) match3 = re.match(c,x) ... if match1: match1.group() elif match2: match2.group() ..... doesn't seem right at all is there a better way of writing this ?
