Want to control your audio devices with Roon?

Simply connect this cable to your rooExtend! It will work with the Raspberry Pi and the rooExtend-Box!

Its massive gold-plated 3.5mm trigger output connects to the input of the audio device you want to control. This trigger output must be controlled by the Roon Extension rooControl. After linking rooControl to your playback device, you can even switch the trigger output on and off directly via Roon.

By daisy-chaining multiple devices using trigger cables or by using a splitter, you can control several audio devices.

The cable connector contains special electronics that allows the trigger output to be controlled via USB. The trigger output is short-circuit proof and provides 5V. This is compatible with the vast majority of audio devices.

This video shows how to use rooControl in combination with rooMax to control the devices in my listening room. Even DACs without a trigger input can be turned on and off using a relais box. Such relais boxes are offered by the German company Antraxmedia.

For tinkering guys who like to use this cable with their own Linux device (non rooExtend) I offer C-Code on request to control the trigger output.
